gaywrites:

Tennessee’s controversial “don’t say gay” bill banning discussions of homosexuality in the classroom was approved in the state House of Representatives yesterday.

The measure now goes to the House Education Committee, where it could be addressed as early as next week. Dozens of students showed up at the hearing on Wednesday to protest, so many that the subcommittee had to relocate.

“To me, they’re sending a message that in society gay people aren’t really equal,” said Thomas Kibby, a Hume-Fogg student. “This law would be kind of moving backwards.”

The arguments in favor of this legislation, in the article above, are a little bit nauseating. I really hope this thing dies.

This is sickening, and so far from ok it’s ridiculous.
