Even though you’ve changed meds, that will def cause a fluctuation in weight loss/gain. And as with any chemical imbalance in the brain, that also leads to weight fluctuation. You will have a harder time than most (anyone on meds falls in this category) when trying to get back in shape. What you eat is 70% of your outcome. Try to eat as fresh and natural as possible … you should be able to recognize what plant/animal 90% your food comes from (apple from tree = good. Twinkie from ??? = bad). And water water water. At least 1/2 your body weight in oz a day (I’m between 150-160 lbs, so I need to drink about 80oz of water a day). And sleep is a key too .. make sure you’re getting a proper amount of sleep a night.
As far as exercising goes, 5-6 days a week should be for cardio. 45-60 minutes, and getting your heart rate up to a moderate/fast pace. Find something you like .. dancing, aerobics, swimming, running, sports … and that will make it fun and you’ll want to exercise. Weight training is important too. 2-3 days of free weights, or calisthenics (using your body weight like push-ups, pull ups, crunches, etc). And make sure you stretch before AND after each workout.
Even if you don’t see much of a physical change (again, when any kind of chemical balancing meds, it may take a while, so stick with it) you will most def FEEL better. You can do it, and let me know how it goes <3 <3 <3
